Anima-GECC has partnered with the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra to co-commission this new and vibrant work featuring the music of accomplished Chicago-based composer Augusta Read Thomas, and the poetry of Chicago-based poet laureate Gwendolyn Brooks. Children from area schools named after Gwendolyn Brooks will be invited to participate in performances of this exciting new work!
