Maggie McCoy is a long-time Glen Ellyn community member and music lover who first heard, saw and was impressed with the Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus 30 years ago at a Chicago Symphony Orchestra performance. She joined the board in 2017 and currently serves in an officer role.

Maggie enjoyed a brief stint as a middle school music teacher, spent the majority of her career working in various insurance operations and finance roles for a global insurance firm, then pivoted to nonprofit finance and administrative consulting work.

She currently serves on several Chicago-area nonprofit boards in varying roles. She holds a BA from the University of Iowa, an MA from Northern Illinois University and an MBA, specializing in Finance and Economics from The University of Chicago.
