Rachel Gibson Spirit of Collaboration Fund

Rachel Gibson was cherished member of Anima – Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus from 2001-2011, and in 2013, she lost her long battle with leukemia. Rachel, whose favorite color was purple, was an incredible person who inspired all who knew her. In addition to her love of music, she loved horses, was an active member of her church, was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority at Elmhurst College, and played on her high school golf team.

In previous years, we held a golf social in Rachel’s honor to raise money for the Rachel Gibson Spirit of Collaboration Fund to allow the chorus to provide need based scholarships to deserving young people and to underwrite chorus activities that foster collaboration, mentoring and fellowship.  This year, with the blessing of Rachel’s family, we are holding a summertime scholarship drive in her honor.  In order to take part in our scholarship drive in Rachel’s honor, we ask that you please use make your tax-deductible contribution to Anima-Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus by July 31, 2017.
