Ensembles

Different ensembles within Anima offer escalating levels of challenge, appropriate to the age, maturity and experience of the singers in each ensemble. Each ensemble is designed to be a rewarding experience in its own right, and offers enriching rehearsal and performance opportunities.

Treble Chorus

Beginning Ensemble

Treble Chorus is the first of our main performing ensembles. In rehearsals, Treble Choristers explore the joy of musical expression and the self-esteem that grows from skillful choral singing. Choristers work on establishing healthy singing habits, singing with good intonation, and learning to read basic musical notation. Through rehearsal and performance, members learn a variety of pieces, beginning with basic unison, then two-part singing, and occasional three-part.

For students in grades 2-5, Treble Chorus rehearses once per week for 90 minutes and perform approximately 6 times per year at area venues. Singers recommended for Treble Plus will rehearse for an additional hour each week.
