Anima Ensembles

Anima welcomes all interested young people kindergarten through high school. Programs provide skill appropriate programs for all maturity levels, which are determined at ensemble placement hearings in the fall, mid winter and spring. The challenges of musicianship and repertoire increase incrementally with each ensemble.

Treble (beginning performance ensemble for third grade and older)

• performs approximately six times per year at area venues such as the Brookfield Zoo
• rehearses twice weekly 90-minute rehearsals

Concert (intermediate ensemble)

• performs approximately 10 times per year; recent highlights include the DuPage Opera Theater,
  Grant Park Orchestra and the Barenaked Ladies
• tours nationally annually
• rehearses twice weekly for one hour and 45 minutes

Touring (advanced ensemble)

• performs approximately 30 times per year both locally and with groups including Chicago Symphony Orchestra,
  Grant Park Orchestra, Music of the Baroque and Chicago Sinfonietta
• tours nationally and internationally
• rehearses twice weekly for two hours
