Anima's Private Voice lessons for the 2016 - 2017 Season

What:   Private half hour voice lessons with Mary Mauch (see bio below) under the Anima umbrella

When:  Beginning in late September, Monday late afternoon – evening

Where: GEPD, or Mrs. Mauch’s Lemont home if closer

Who:     For students ages 12 and older already enrolled in Anima’s choral ensembles

Why:     Anima wishes to provide reliable, safe, expert vocal training for serious students who desire private study in addition to their choral/ensemble training

Cost:      $35/half hour for weekly lessons.  Longer lessons can be negotiated with Mrs. Mauch

How:     If interested, please email simrit@animasingers.org

Please Note
*We are putting a minimum age on this opportunity as vocal training is different from instrumental training in that the voice resides within a growing body.

*Children younger than 12 are better served by Anima’s choral training, which develops their ears, music literacy, and ability to sing in age appropriate ways.

*Private vocal study is best suited for adolescent and post adolescent singers, when there is more physical maturity.

*The singing voice does not fully mature until age 30-35!  That’s why it’s so important to not rush or harm a young voice by overtaxing it at too young an age, regardless of what you may see and hear on television!  Anima wants to protect young voices, give them the best training available, yet offer further study to those who are ready for it.
