Anima Announces Enrollment for 2017-18 Season

Anima – Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus is currently enrolling new choristers for the 2017-18 season!

Touring Chorus – Audition based advanced ensemble

Touring Level choristers demonstrate exceptional musical skills and superior standards of professionalism. Choristers will concentrate on  learning more advanced sight singing skills and are able to retain complex melodic, harmonic and rhythmic material. They can demonstrate superior vocal abilities, musicality, and emotional maturity. With the strong foundation of a love for music, lifelong friendships are made along with an appreciation for the arts and cultural diversity.  2017-18 highlights will include performances at the Symphony Center with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Chicago Sinfonietta, a performance in Millennium Park in David Lang’s Crowd Out, as part of the Chicago Humanities Festival, and a summer tour to Greece.

Tuesdays AND Thursdays
6:15-8:00 pm
Rehearsals begin August 29th

Concert Chorus – Intermediate ensemble

At the intermediate level of Anima, Concert Choristers continue their development of vocal and musical skills through the rehearsal and performance of a varied repertoire. Students in grades 4-9 gain experience through performance with professional music organizations, travel, and recording opportunities. Students new to Anima who are interested in Concert Chorus are asked to join us for a Musical Meeting with one or more parents to determine the right placement of the child.
